Castle tower Pfäffikon
In the mid-13th century, the abbot of Schwanden built today's castle tower as defense against enemy attacks and to protect the proceeds from the monastery lands.
In 1299, a great deal of effort resulted in the addition of inner and outer walls as well as moats.
